About the Cuban American Commission for Family Rights

The Cuban American Commission for Family Rights, formed in June 2004 by a diverse group of Cuban Americans of many political stripes, has been at the forefront of Cubans living in the United States who find regulations on travel to Cuba apprehensible and cruel. The Commission has also denounced the Administration’s:

  • Tightening of these restrictions in the summer of 2004.
  • Limitations of remittances to family members and friends in Cuba.
  • Arrogance, by deeming itself fit to define who a Cuban family member can be.

Since its inception, the Cuban American Commission for Family Rights has fought these cruel regulations and proposes to do so until the day they are overturned.
