| Judge William Sessions has taken a Cuban-American lawsuit under advisement, but denied a request for a temporary injunction that would have allowed Vermont plaintiffs of Cuban descent to travel to their native country.
The plaintiffs are challenging federal government restrictions on travel to and from Cuba. Since 2004, Cuban-Americans have been banned from traveling to Cuba more than once every three years. In Vermont, plaintiff Yurisleidis Leyva Mora was denied permission in December to travel to Cuba in order to celebrate her marriage with her elderly grandparents. |
